5、When electroplating the larger parts, the user should check that whether the area of the positive anode is 1.5- 2 doubles to negative anode area. If the negative anode area and positive anode area is less than 1:1. 5 doubles, the user should reduce electric current density, and extend the time of chromium plating properly. Otherwise too high current density will accelerate anodic aging. (Anode current density not more than 40 a/square decimeter)

 

6、Chromium plating solution in principle does not allow any solid particles with solution cycle, which causes the platinum plating to wear and shorten the service life of plating platinum anode. If there are solid deposits attached to the platinum anode surface in plating solution, it will result in anode current distribution unevenly. Such as chromium plating solution of lead chromate, barium sulfate, etc.


7、On a quarterly for the unit, it is necessary to remove and clean the platinum plating anode, replace the unusable titanium screws, check all the conductive contacts. To make sure that all the contact point contact is good. At the same time, clean the lead chromate in the lining adhered to the positive anode thoroughly, ensure lead anode in good condition.

8、To clean the plating platinum anode, the user should pay attention to the notes and do as follows:


① Make the platinum plating anode soaked in 5% of dilute sodium hydroxide solution, using soft cloth or sponge to wipe auxiliary reaction, so that to remove surface chromate;

② Then use the use 5% of dilute sulphuric acid solution to neutralize the residual sodium hydroxide solution on the anode surface

③ Finally, with plenty of clean water rinse anode. It is prohibited to use any abrasive or mechanical removal of platinum plating anode surface sediment.


9、 If the plating platinum anode without using for a period of time, you should immediately remove it and clean. it is very important. If you do not clean the anode, the platinum plating will be affected by sulfuric acid corrosion and cause irreparable damage. The reason is that the plating solution in the platinum plating surface gradually become dry, and cause acid concentration increases, the corrosion of titanium anode surface and matrix.


Special note: Titanium plating platinum anode substrate for pure titanium, titanium is easily react with fluoride ions, so carefully with fluorine ion in chromium plating liquid into. When using chrome plating additive or chromium fog inhibitor also should check for fluoride additives, otherwise it will lead to the titanium substrate by corrosion, surface platinum plating layer falls off, shorten the service life of plating platinum anode.
