The spot plating anode, also known as spot plating mold、spot plating ring, electroplating wheel, spot plating wheel, spray plating head, is a specialized tool used in selective electroplating of specific electronic products on a universal roll-to-roll electroplating machine. 


The electroplating mold uses ceramic pins to position the lead frame and accurately seals the areas that should not be electroplated with silicone while exposing the areas to be electroplated.


It is a high-speed and economical electroplating method that is suitable for the electroplating of lead frames for ICs, diodes, transistors, connectors, and LEDs etc. Because it can selectively electroplate functional areas, the electroplating area is small, and it can achieve the goal of saving gold, silver and other precious metals.

Its principle and essence belong to the category of electroplating process in electrochemical processing. In contrast to electrolysis, metal ions in the electroplating solution are deposited on the cathode under the action of an electric field. Brush plating can make the coating more uniform, good density, high finish, enhance the wear resistance of the plated parts, and its working time is short, high efficiency, save raw materials, reduce costs, and makes the output efficiency multiply.
